The MythoSelfProcess and Training
with Joseph Riggio

First, let me give you a little background of the MythoSelf Process. The
MythoSelf Process was developed by NLP Trainer Joseph Riggio. Dr. Riggio was
certified by NLP Trainer Roye Fraser who developed the Generative Imprint Model.
Dr. Riggio is a good friend of NLP Master Trainer John La Valle.
The seminar was held in Tiburon California, which is across the bay from San Francisco.
The seminar was held at the Waters Edge Hotel, which literally
stretches out into the bay, offering a remarkable view of San
Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
The cost to stay in the hotelor any hotel within walking distanceis very
expensive, with prices ranging from $140 to $200 a night. For me, this was the
most expensive cost of my whole trip.
What Is the MythoSelf Process?
So what is the MythoSelf Process (MSP), and how did I decide to attend this
workshop?
MSP is divided into 6 modules with each module presented as a 4-day workshop
approximately every 3 months. The reason for this is to allow Joseph's work
to integrate within us and build upon that. The classes have approximately 8 -
10 Mytho2 students, including both first-time students and those on the facilitators
track and approximately 8 - 10 Mytho8 students, who are on the trainers track.
Completing the MSP program also gives students either a NLP Master Practitioner License
or NLP Practitioner License from the Society of NLP with Dr. Richard Bandler.
MSP uses what Joseph calls Soma-Semantic Modeling, an information gathering
model, to elicit, track and adumbrate the ontological position from which the
individual is operatingas quoted from Josephs information.
The first module introduces the MSP model. Dr. Joseph Riggio does a lot of one-on-one
work with each student in front of the class to help facilitate the learning
experience. What I found unique in MSP is the following:
First, great improvements in self occur. This isn't always comfortable, as I
found out, because I was brought into total congruency with self. When Joseph
says ... and this is not a quote, because I cannot remember exact words ... you may
even meet yourself. I believe, I really met myself in this process and have learned
so much about who I am. For this, I have so much gratitude for Joseph and the
work he is doing.
MSP taught me to access my very best absolutely and how to hold that position.
This anchor or trigger is natural and very easy to access at any time. This
then has allowed me to stay on my path or intent towards my trajectory. Life
happens, and staying on the path I pursued was not always easy, but today is
much different than it was for me than before I attended the first module in November
of 2005.
Also, MSP starts from the excitatory bias no matter the situation. This for me
has speeded up the process of my work with clients and also in business.
My Continuing MythoSelf Education
What also impressed me was the amount of skill each student obtained in the
Mytho2 class and how much skill was demonstrated by the Mytho8 students. Joseph
has much passion for his work and brings success to his students.
Originally, I only signed up for the first Mytho Module in November, and my
intent was to attend Trainers Training / Charisma Enhancement (CE) with Richard
Bandler. I had a challenge making the decision of what to do, because of the
personal improvements I experienced in self following the November MythoSelf
Seminar.
After being in a state of indecision, I finally decided to sign up for CE,
only to discover that the class was already sold out by the December 15th discount
price deadline. I talked to Frank (the travel agent for NLP Seminars group),
and he informed me that 60 Japanese business men signed up for the class. Because
the class is limited to 100 to 120 people, it is no wonder it sold out.
Frank also informed me that this was the 1st time in 6 years that he has been
working for John and Richard that CE sold out this quickly.
So the decision was made for me, and I now believe that this is how it was meant to be.
What I learned from this is ... I was in a moment between desire (attending CE)
and what was best for me (continuing the MythoSelf Process). So I learned a lot
about decision making in the process. And again ... I am thankful of the path I
am taking.
MSB Hypnosis Module
The Hypnosis module builds upon what was learned in the first module. Again
going from the Generative Imprint Model developed by Roye Fraser, the second
module develops the participants connection to that which is Greater
Than Self. The skills learned included Eliciting, Building Sensory Acuity,
Calibrating Client, Anchoring, and Conversational Hypnosis.
Other skills included speaking in front of the class, speaking in rhythm to a drum
beat (sounds like trainers training ... and this was a challenge for me, but I
did get it), and practicing and integrating skills while working with students from
both Mytho2 and Mytho8. And the continued building of self-awareness. Another
skill I learned is how to do this work without leaving a trace of me with the
client. To allow clients to have their own experiences and their own journey.
I highly recommend taking Joseph Riggio's MythoSelf Seminars.
