Headstone

Sacred Stories

One of the most difficult tasks of their lives lay ahead of them: selecting a headstone for their infant baby daughter.

Browsing the website, hoping that looking before they went would help her get through it, a black slant-cut heart-shaped stone caught her attention. She did not mention this to her husband, preferring to allow him to have his own thoughts about the selection when they were there.

Asking about the slant-cut heart, she was told that was not really slant-cut, it just looked that way in the photo.

They determined the black stone was out of their budget, and were settling for a lighter grey regular heart-shaped stone, when the woman helping them timidly asked if they would be interested in seeing a small black stone that had been ordered by someone else, not realizing it was for an infant.

The stone was exactly what she had “seen” online!
