Like This, Too

It is humbling at the moment you are frustrated or hurt or frightened by another person’s actions to be able to recognize when in the past you have done or said something similarly. You cannot clear or heal an issue for the last time until you feel it from both sides.

Ask yourself, “How am I like this, too?” Have compassion for all involved—including your former self. We are learning, and compassion is one of the greatest lessons of all.
