Sit & Get Fit

Since many of us spend a lot more time sitting at our desks than our ancestors did, and our bodies were built to move,  with today’s more sedentary work-life style, it becomes really important to stay aware of ways you can get fit while you sit.

Fitness coach Donavan Green suggests that you use 30-second exercises throughout your day to improve overall fitness. View his short video demonstration of:

  • Twist in place
  • Raise the roof
  • Leg raises
  • March in place
  • Dance without music

Whether you call it “seated tai chi” or “chair aerobics” or do an internet search of “chair yoga,” you will see the many easy postures that can really benefit your body, mind, and spirit.
