Foods to Keep in the Fridge

Debra’s Wellness Tips

Beyond the obvious (eggs, milk, and meat) some other foods last much longer if you keep them in the refrigerator.

Ten Foods You Should Refrigerate include a few I was not surprised by, but also some that might be new to you, too:

Apples (put a damp cloth over them in the crisper)
Butter (consider a butter bell, see image below)
    Flour (especially whole wheat)
Nuts (up to a year in the fridge)
Soy Sauce, Fish Sauce, Hot Sauce (they won’t spoil at room temp, but last longer in the fridge)
    Stone fruit (after ripened)

This week, think about easy ways to help things last longer. You can expand beyond foods to include how to save fuel, using products sparingly, and ways to keep your relationships fresh for a lifetime!
