She was at a picnic with some of her church friends when she was drawn to a beautiful autumn tree. She spontaneously walked over and gave it a hug.
Then suddenly she felt a strong urge to tell the Bible story of Zacchaeus, a tax collector. A short man, wanting to see Jesus, he climbed up in a sycamore tree. The story says that Jesus looked up in the tree, called Zacchaeus by name, and told him to come down because Jesus was coming home with him. Shocking.
As she finished telling the story, a man in the group called her over to see something he had on his computer screen.
“I thought you would appreciate knowing that the tree you just hugged is a sycamore,” he said.
